Newborn Studio Deluxe Session at a Glance
The Newborn Deluxe Session offers many individual baby photos and parent, sibling, and family shots. It includes five to ten setups, including wrapped and unwrapped baby photos in curly, sleepy poses.
The Newborn Deluxe Session could be an ideal option if you want plenty of family shots with many poses and looks in a studio setting.
Key session highlights:
- My newborn photography style is neutral, organic, timeless, and natural. My studio setups are unique.
- I have been a newborn photographer since 2008 and have photographed thousands of newborns. This experience has helped me create a smooth and enjoyable process that my clients appreciate.
- I customize the look of your photos based on your input. After you book, I work with you to pick the theme for the session, which will determine the colors and props I’ll be using.
- The newborn photo shoot takes place at my cozy, light-filled Kirkland studio, a short drive from Seattle and Bellevue.
- The session takes between two to three hours of shooting time. (We will not be shooting the entire time. Some of the time will be used for feeding, changing, and waiting for your baby to be happy, calm, and asleep.)
- During the session, you will never have to worry about how to pose or what to do. I will guide and direct you the entire time.
- The session includes 20 hand-edited high-res digital images that you pick from a gallery of 80–100 photos that I create during the session.
- If you want additional hand-edited photos, you can order them à la carte after seeing your proof gallery.
Without further ado, below are examples of Newborn Deluxe Sessions to give you a good idea of the types of photos you’ll get. I will also provide more details and tips about the entire process.
Sample Newborn Deluxe Photoshoots with Girls
After you book, I will ask you questions to customize your newborn session. For example, some families prefer more shots with the baby and parents, while others want more individual shots of the baby. And yet others want a little bit of everything.
Here is an example of the Newborn Deluxe Session with a focus on family shots:
In Client’s Words
“Lana has a remarkable talent for capturing those precious, fleeting moments of our baby's early days. Each photo felt like a work of art, filled with tenderness, and we were thrilled with the final results.” —Hanguang
During your session, I will guide, direct, and pose your family so you will never have to guess what to do. For the individual baby shots, I will wrap, soothe, and pose your baby while you sit back and relax.
I usually start with family newborn shots and finish with individual baby shots. However, I may change things around depending on your baby’s mood.

Sample Newborn Deluxe Photoshoots with Boys
The base price of the Newborn Deluxe Session includes 20 hand-edited high-res photos. Hand-editing is a more detailed approach to photo editing than basic color correction. It includes skin smoothing, removal of blemishes, bruises, and a few fly-aways, as well as more detailed color adjustments. It gives your newborn photos that “polished” look.
Every photographer has a unique editing style. One style is not necessarily better than the other. What’s most important is that you like the editing style of the newborn photographer you are choosing.
My editing style is natural and organic. One reason I include so many photos on this page and in my newborn portfolio is so you can get a really good feel for my shooting and editing style and make a confident decision.

In Client’s Words
“Lana is a true artist. She took great care in creating beautiful images of our family. We did an outdoor maternity shoot with our toddler followed by a newborn session in her studio. Both exceeded our expectations. She was wonderful with both our toddler and our newborn. Her studio is gorgeous including her props and accessories. Highly recommend!” —Christine

FAQs
When should I book my newborn session?
You should always book your newborn session at least two months in advance to ensure you have a spot. However, I know how busy life gets (oh boy, do I know!), and if you didn’t have the opportunity to book in advance and your baby is already here or coming soon, reach out to me. I will do my best to get you in.
When scheduling, which day do I pick, and what happens if the baby comes early or late?
When scheduling, choose the date closest to your due date, and I will pencil you in for that date, ensuring you have a spot. Because babies come on their schedules, we will pick an actual shoot date once your baby is born (typically five days to three weeks after birth).
When and how will I get my images?
You will receive your online proof gallery within four days after your session. Seven days after you submit your selections, your hand-edited images will be delivered via a separate online gallery.
How many images will I get?
The Newborn Deluxe Session includes 20 hand-edited photos. Once you see your proof gallery, which typically contains 80–100 photos, you can buy additional hand-edited images. The proof gallery offers plenty of variety and options.
In addition, you can buy all the parent shots with the infant (all the shots without props). Pricing for these upgrades is listed in the next section.
