Types of Newborn Photoshoots
I offer three types of newborn sessions that I designed around your needs based on my experience photographing thousands of newborns and getting lots of feedback from parents.
Here are the key differences between each newborn session to help you decide:
Studio Mini Wrapped Session:
The Newborn Mini Wrapped Session is designed for families who prefer a quicker photo shoot. This session is also a great option if you are on a budget. There are fewer setups, and the baby stays wrapped the entire time. The standard session includes photos of only the baby. Parent and sibling shots are available à la carte. (This session includes posed shots of the baby and, if added, natural shots with parents and siblings. Ideally, your baby should be between five days and three weeks old.)
Studio Deluxe Session:
The focus of the Newborn Deluxe Session is primarily on family newborn photos. It also offers more setups than the Mini-Session, including mom-favorite unwrapped baby photos in curly, sleepy poses. This session includes plenty of parent shots with the baby and is ideal for families with siblings who want to capture the whole family with the baby. (This session consists of posed and natural shots of the baby and natural shots with parents and siblings. Your baby should be between five days and three weeks old.)
In-Home Lifestyle Session:
The In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session is best for families who want newborn photos in their home environment (nursery, master bedroom, and family room). It is also very convenient and is an excellent option if you don’t want to drive to a studio after giving birth and want the comfort of your home. This session includes a variety of natural and relaxed poses of the baby with parents, and it works well with siblings and pets. (For this session, your baby could be between five days and two months.)
In Client’s Words:
“We had such a wonderful experience with Lana! Our newborn shoot went so smoothly; the entire process was easy and professional, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!” –Caitlin

Sample Newborn Studio Mini Wrapped Session with Parent Add-On
This option is similar to the standard Newborn Mini Wrapped Session but includes the add-on of five naturally-posed photos of parents with the baby. This allows you to have a quicker and more affordable session (compared to a Deluxe session) while still getting family shots with the baby.

Booking Your Newborn Photo Shoot
I’ve photographed thousands of newborns, which helped me design a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience. I will guide you through every step to create photos that will become your family’s heirloom for years to come.
My newborn studio is located in Kirkland. My clients typically travel from all over the greater Seattle area, including Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Sammamish, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Renton, Bothell, Kenmore, Shoreline, and even as far as Tacoma and Everett. For the in-home newborn session, I travel to any location within a 25-mile radius of Kirkland. Travel fees may apply for locations further away.
I recommend booking your newborn session at least 2 months before your due date to ensure you have a spot. However, I know how busy life gets (oh boy, do I know!), and if you didn’t get a chance to book in advance and your baby is already here or coming soon, you can contact me, and I will do my best to get you in.
When scheduling, choose the date closest to your due date, and I will pencil you in for that date, ensuring you have a spot. And because babies come on their schedule, we will pick an actual shoot date once your baby is born (typically five days to three weeks after birth for studio sessions and five days to two months after birth for in-home sessions).
