Most women’s ideal time for a maternity photoshoot is between 28 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. And, if your maternity session window falls in July, I want to show you a charming lavender farm that provides a uniquely beautiful backdrop for your pregnancy photos.

Below, I will share sample photos and session details to help you decide if this is the best option for your pregnancy photos. And if you decide to have your maternity session at this farm, you can use these photos as inspiration for planning your outfits.

Let’s dive in.

A Few Important Considerations

I offer maternity sessions at the lavender farm only once a year for a limited period of two weeks, right before the lavender is harvested (usually around mid-July).

The farm is located in Sequim, WA, so you must be prepared for a road trip. It takes roughly two and a half hours to get to the farm from Seattle or Bellevue, so please consider this before booking.

Another thing to consider is the start time of the session. To get the beautiful golden light, I started shooting around 90 minutes before sunset.

Considering the traveling and session start time, some couples decide to turn their maternity photoshoot into a weekend getaway before the baby arrives. The nearby town of Port Angeles has several great places to stay and plenty of relaxing activities to do.

Pricing and Scheduling

I offer two options for Lavender Farm Maternity Sessions: Deluxe (full) and Mini (half). The key differences between the options are the duration of the photoshoot, the number of photos included, and the variety of shots and looks.

Maternity Deluxe Session Highlights:

The Deluxe Session is 60 minutes long and includes 20 hand-edited (detailed-edited) images. This option is a bit more relaxing and will give you more variety of shots. It also works better if you want an outfit change or have kids joining the session.

Tip:
The Maternity Deluxe Session can be combined with a Newborn Deluxe Session for a money-saving package. Learn more here.

Maternity Mini Session Highlights:

The Mini Session is 20 minutes long and includes 10 hand-edited images. It is a great option if you prefer a quicker session or don’t have kids joining.
